Sani

Sani is a beautiful location just before Nea Fokea, which in the antiquity was a colony of Eretria.

Beautiful beaches with top service hotels, camping and apartments for rent define the area as a unique destination for many tourists.

There used to be many estates from the monasteries of Mt Athos and until today there are churches remaining and the Tower of Stavronikita (1543), on the hill of Sani hotel.

Sani festival is one of the top cultural events in the Kassandra peninsula and takes place every summer.

The natural habitat of  Nea Fokea – Sani is of great ecological interest and is under the protection of Hellenic Law and a part of Natura 2000 network. The habitat lies in the area between Nea Potidea and Nea Fokea and it covers a region of 44 acres. Many of the species are migrating and are under the protection of international convention and EU directives.

There are also the remains of a prehistoric settlement on the hill next to the lake Ampares.

Sani is gifted place with great historical and environmental capital and a remarkable touristic infrastructure.
